I refer to the answer given to me from Western Power in response to a 'Question Prior' asked during 2025-26 Budget Estimates that, "Western Power is currently exploring the feasibility of installing EV chargers on its streetlights," and note the 22 January article in
Perth Now,
'Five inner-city councils could start using streetlights to charge EVs, with increases in high density housing,' and I ask:
(a) has the feasibility study been completed;
(b) if yes to (a), what did the feasibility study conclude and has a trial begun;
(c) if a trial has started, please provide details of the trial;
(d) if no to (a), when is the feasibility study expected to be completed and a trial begin;
(e) are other Local Governments able to join the trial on request; and
(f) assuming a successful trial, when is it expected other Local Governments will be able to implement street-side EV charging?
