Answer

(a-f) CoastWA is a state-wide program to support the planning, management and protection of Western Australia s coast from the impacts of coastal hazards. The program is evaluated annually and incorporates six elements, including community engagement, coastal grants, hotspot assessment and monitoring, studies and reviews, hazard mapping and technical expertise. Funding is available to coastal hazard managers across the State to proactively plan and manage their coastal reserves through the four CoastWA grant streams: • Coastwest (Western Australian Planning Commission); • Coastal Management Plan Assistance Program (Western Australian Planning Commission); • Coastal Adaptation and Protection (Department of Transport and Maj or Infrastructure); and • Hotspot Coastal Adaptation and Protection Major Project Fund (Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure). Coastal land managers across the state may assess the efficacy of local projects on an ongoing basis.
