Question

Given the ongoing challenges in the provision of mental health services in regional Western Australia, I ask:(a) how many clinical positions in the therapeutic area of mental health are currently vacant within the WA Country Health Service?

Answer

(a) There are currently 7 vacancies within clinical medical, nursing and allied health roles providing patient assessment, care and therapeutic treatment. While vacancies may exist in individual roles or locations at a particular point in time, WACHS overall clinical mental health staffing levels are in line with planned full-time equivalent staffing.
