I
thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. I note that it
relates to Hon Albert Jacob. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Local Government.
(1)–(3) The local government inspector determines
the terms of reference for the monitor and then selects a monitor with the
appropriate skills. The range of pay is generally between $750 and $900 per day
plus superannuation, based on advice from the Public Sector Commission. The
Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety advises that the
City of Joondalup is financially stable.
