Mr Roger Cook replied:This aspect of the legislation is that every five years, it is appropriate that a firearms licensee has a professional vouch that they continue to be a fit-and-proper person to carry a deadly weapon. This is not overly onerous and, as I said, 50,000 people—Several members interjected.The Speaker:Members of the opposition!Mr Roger Cook:—have already undertaken that very task. The Leader of the Opposition scurried out of the chamber because he did not want his vote to be recorded. He did not want to be held to account.
