Question

I refer to the Connected Communities School trial, and I ask:(a) What outcomes or performance indicators have been established to determine whether the trial is successful;(b) Will they be publicly reported; and(c) When will they be reported and/or finalised to inform future Government decisions?

Answer

(a)   As an initiative funded through the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement, the Connected Community School four-year trial is establishing 4 schools as community hubs where families can easily access relevant community health and social services, while improving students' educational and wellbeing outcomes beyond the classroom. Acknowledging that schools know their communities best, relevant services are identified in close consultation with each trial school. (b)-(c) An ongoing evaluation of the programs will inform future Government decisions. The State Government will also adhere to reporting requirements of the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement.
