I refer to Aboriginal heritage administrative capacity in the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) and I ask:
(a) What is the current funded headcount of the DPLH Aboriginal heritage team, including heritage officers, assessment staff, investigations officers, and committee secretariat;
(b) How has this changed since the 2021 Act was repealed and the amended 1972 Act reinstated;
(c) Has the Government released details and funding figures for the capacity building program for native title parties promised at the time of the amended 1972 Act's commencement, if not, when will this be done; and
(d) Since the designation of Local Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Services (LACHS) ceased on repeal of the 2021 Act, what has replaced these locally based Aboriginal organisations in identifying, conserving, and managing Aboriginal heritage across WA and what funding has been provided to fill this gap?
