Middle East conflict—Medical supplies
203. Hon Philip Scott to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
I refer to today's
headlines of pharmaceutical companies being forced to reroute critical
medicines to ensure Australian supply due to the conflict in the Middle East.
(1) Can the minister share what briefing,
if any, the Commonwealth has provided the Western Australian Government about
this matter?
(2) What measures are in place to secure
WA's medical supplies and to keep them affordable?
(3) Can the government provide a
guarantee that pandemic-style rationing of medical supplies will not occur due
to the conflict in the Middle East?
