Question
I refer toWestern Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020–2030, and I ask:(a) Did Action Plan 1 end rough sleeping by 2025;(b) If no to (a), why not;(c) Is Action Plan 2 being implemented; and(d) If yes to (c), how is success being measured?
Answer
(a) – (d)
Significant progress has been made under the first Action Plan of All Paths Lead to a Home: Western Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020–2030 , including against those actions aimed at addressing rough sleeping. This includes embedding the Housing First approach, expanding assertive outreach, developing By Name Lists, and increasing permanent supported housing.
The Cook Labor Government remains committed to ensuring every Western Australian has a home, supported by our record $6.3 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures since 2021.
The second Action Plan will be released in the near future.
