I refer to the lack of Computed Tomography (CT) scanning equipment at Katanning Health Service, equipment which would reduce patient transfer time and additional costs for travel, aid accurate and rapid diagnosis especially in an emergency, and keep treatment planning in the region, and I ask:
(a) How many patients have been transferred from Katanning Health Service for a CT since 2017;
(b) How many patients have been given a referral from a doctor at the Katanning Health Service to attend a health facility outside Katanning for a CT scan since 2017;
(c) How many patients have had a negative outcome based on delays in emergency diagnosis with CT scan since 2017;
(d) Despite calls from the Opposition and the community, what reason can the Minister give that a CT will not be installed at the Katanning Health Service; and
(e) What is the estimated cost of delivering and installing a CT scanner at Katanning Health Service?
