The 2026-27 Budget Papers include $2.024 million in 2026-27 and $2.012 million in 2027-28 for
Election Commitment – Clinical Trials Coordination, with no funding beyond
that. Can the Minister advise:
(a) What exactly will that clinical trials coordination funding deliver in 2026-27;
(b) How many additional trials, trial start-ups, sites, approvals or participants is the Government expecting from that funding;
(c) Why does the funding end after 2027-28; and
(d) Is this intended to become an ongoing function, or is there a funding cliff?
