I refer to extended leave of public servants in WA government departments or Government Trading Enterprises for which the Minister is responsible for and ask:(a) How many FTE public servants have been on sick leave or special leave with pay for more than 30, 60, 90, 180, and 365 consecutive days respectively, in each financial year from:(i) 2021-22;(ii) 2022-23;(iii) 2023-24; and(iv) 2024-25;(b) How many of those employees are still currently on leave, and for how long have they each been absent (expressed in total days);(c) What is the breakdown of extended leave cases by classification level (e.g. Level 1–7, Senior Officer, SES); and(d) What was the total salary cost (including superannuation and applicable allowances) of all employees on extended sick leave or special leave with pay for more than 30 days, in each of the above financial years?

The information being sought by the member is not readily available and would require considerable research, which would divert staff away from their normal duties. As such, I am not prepared to divert the State’s resources to provide a response.
However, if the Member has a more specific query, I would be pleased to consider arranging for the provision of information.
