Mark Anthony Jr Unchango—Sexual assault—Post-sentence
supervision order
249. Hon Nick Goiran to
the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to the Premier's answer on 17 March 2026
wherein the Premier constructively refused to answer whether he would, on
behalf of the government, formally apologise to the victim of the horrific sex
attack in Whitfords perpetrated by Mark Anthony Junior Unchango.
(1) Is the Premier aware that Mr Unchango
is now serving a 10-year sentence for this crime?
(2) Is the Premier aware that the
offender was on a post-sentence supervision order at the time of the attack?
(3) Has the Premier been briefed about
the self-evident supervision failures that preceded this catastrophic attack?
(4) Will the Premier now, without further
delay or deflection, respectfully issue this overdue apology that every fair-minded
Western Australian expects from this government?
(5) If no to (1), (2), (3) or (4), why
not?
