Training—Wage subsidy program
272. Hon Tjorn Sibma to
the Leader of the House representing the Minister
for Skills and TAFE:
I refer to the minister's
1 May media statement, "Cook Labor Government delivers $216m TAFE and
training boost".
(1) What proportion of the $19.6 million
to support an additional 330 places in the Group Training Organistion wage
subsidy program is new money?
(2) Are these genuinely 330 new places or
does this figure include the 225 places funded in last year's budget?
(3) Do the 330 new places include or
exclude adult apprentices?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The 330 places will be funded through the
Construction Training Fund in addition to the 225 places funded in the previous
state budget. The places are available to adult apprentices.
