Family and domestic
violence—Refuges
239. Mr Bevan Eatts to
the Minister for Prevention of Family and
Domestic Violence:
I have a
supplementary question. Will the minister commit to fund and develop a much-needed
FDV refuge in the Warren–Blackwood region as a matter of urgency, please?

AnswerView source ↗

Again, I understand
the urgency felt by the member's community. In fact, that urgency is felt right
across the state because a number of regions are experiencing pressure in
family and domestic violence. It is my job to assess where the biggest need is
and where the numbers are coming from, as we discussed. My department has
committed to working with the member to provide solutions for his local issues
at this time.
