was the catalyst for bringing about these amendments to the regulations;(b) who
was consulted prior to these amendment regulations being finalised;(c) in

(a) To provide certainty regarding workers compensation insurance policy coverage for fishing crew, and the application of regulation 17 which provides that certain fishing crew are not workers under the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 . Other minor amendments provide clarity and are inconsequential.
(b) National Insurance Brokers Association – WA, licensed workers compensation insurers and the WA Fishing Industry Council.
(c) No. There is strong support to delete regulation 17.
(d-f) Not applicable
