Question
I refer to the Report on Overseas Air Travel for the 3 months to 31 December 2024 and a trip for D Channell from 4 to 7 December 2024 at a cost of $5,567 and D Ganeson from 4 to 8 December at a cost of $9,705 to attend the graduation ceremony for Charles Telfair Education in Mauritius. Can the Minister advise:(a) Why were two Western Australian public servants required to attend this graduation ceremony;(b) What benefits were there to the State by both officers attending this ceremony;(c) Why did D Channell travel economy and D Ganeson travel business class;(d) Is this consistent with State Government guidelines for air travel:(i) If so, how; and(ii) If not, how did it occur; and(e) Why was D Ganeson’s travel one day longer than D Channell for exactly the same event?
