I refer to the current fuel crisis, the fuel storage facility near Geraldton Port and the contract with Viva Energy, and I ask:(a) When did the lease with Viva Energy expire;(b) What date did the demolition of the tanks begin;(c) How long did the demolition take;(d) Why was the facility inactive for 10 years;(e) What is the land tenure where the now demolished fuel tanks were located;(f) Who owned the now demolished fuel tanks; and(g) Has the State Government found a suitable storage facility in Geraldton- Midwest- Gascoyne- Murchison which can take in a share of the Government's state stockpile supply?

(b) 27 February 2026.
(c – f) The facility, situated on Crown Land, had been inactive for 10 years and the tanks were unlikely to be fit-for-purpose. The use of the facility is a matter for the previous proponent.
(g) The State Government’s strategic stockpile currently includes access to 3 megalitres of diesel at the Geraldton BP terminal.
