The 2026-27 Budget Papers refer to
multiple stakeholder roundtables, and tangible strategic actions and specific
programs for targeted groups (page 298). Can the Minister advise:
(a) On what dates in 2025-26 were these round tables held and what were the specific outcomes;
(b) What specific programs were developed from these round tables, what were the costs to develop and implement them and who were the target groups;
(c) What are the round tables planned for 2026-27;
(d) Did any of these round tables consider the information contained in the Department's 2024-25 Annual Report that smoking had increased for the first time in 30 years;
(e) If so, which round table and what were the actions as a result of this consideration;
(f) If not, why not; and
(g) Will the increases in smoking, illicit drug use and alcohol consumption be the subject of roundtables in 2026-27, if so which ones?
