Health—Winter strategy
156. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Health:
I have a
supplementary question. In which hospitals will the additional 200 beds be
located?

AnswerView source ↗

The member is right;
the winter flu strategy will create an additional capacity of 200 beds. Some of
that will be made up of elective surgery, which we will purchase from private
capacity. Some of it will be contracting beds currently in the private system
to provide additional capacity and some of it will be to contract some
additional beds at Mt Lawley Hospital prior to us taking ownership of it later
this year.
