I refer to all employees of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), and I ask:(a) How many total FTE's are currently employed in Metropolitan Perth, excluding DBCA’s head office;(b) How many total FTE's are employed across all regional Parks and Wildlife Service operations;(c) How has the number of Kensington-based FTE's changed over the past five years; and(d) How has the number of regional Parks and Wildlife operational FTE's changed over the same period?
Answer
(a) As at 26 March 2026, there are 700.69 FTEs based in Metropolitan Perth, excluding the Kensington head office.
(b) As at 26 March 2026, there are 1036.71 FTEs across regional Parks and Wildlife Service operational locations.
(c) Over the past five years, the number of FTEs based at DBCA’s head office has increased. As at 30 June 2021, there were 528.24 FTEs. As at 26 March 2026, there are 687.78 FTEs.
(d) Over the past five years, the number of regional Parks and Wildlife Service FTEs has increased. As at 30 June 2021, there were 818.35 FTEs employed in operational roles. As at 26 March 2026, there are 1036.71 FTEs.
