I refer to the Government’s Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Strategy and recent State Budget funding for sexual assault support services and the Clinical Forensic Service:
(a) What funding in the 2026–27 State Budget has been specifically allocated to training staff in regional hospitals and health services to conduct forensic medical examinations for victim-survivors of sexual assault;
(b) How many staff employed within the WA Country Health Service are currently accredited or trained to undertake forensic medical examinations following sexual assault, broken down by region and hospital;
(c) Does the Government intend to increase the number of trained forensic medical examiners available in regional Western Australia and, if so:
(i) in which locations; and
(ii) over what timeframe;
(d) Which regional hospitals currently provide forensic medical examinations for victim-survivors of sexual assault onsite; and
(e) Does WA Health collect data on:
(i) wait times for forensic medical examinations following sexual assault; and
(ii) the number of victim-survivors required to travel outside their region to access a forensic examination?
