I refer to the 2026-27 State Budget, paper 2 volume 2 page 503 referring to Regulation and Support of Local Government, and I ask:
(a) What is the basis for the funding trajectory that sees this support rise from $19.55m to $39.04m, before falling to $17.11 in the forward estimates;
(b) Is the $39.04m a one-off program-specific injection;
(c) If yes to (b), what initiatives justify this increase in expenditure; and
(d) What components drove this sharp increase and why isn't it comparable in the forward estimates?
