I refer the Minister to the enforcement costs associated with prosecuting drivers for the mere presence of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and I ask:
(a) for each of the past five financial years, how many THC-only drug driving matters proceeded to court;
(b) of those, how many were dealt with by infringement or administrative licence action;
(c) what is the estimated annual cost to Western Australian (WA) Police of roadside THC testing, laboratory confirmation, prosecution preparation, and court attendance; and
(d) what resources, if any, are currently being directed to assess whether enforcement resources are being directed towards impaired driving, as opposed to merely detectable prior lawful use?
