Water drainage bridges
253. Hon Steve Martin to
the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Water:
I refer to the
minister's release date of 26 April 2026, in which $9.4 million was allocated
to priority works on water drainage bridges in the South West.
(1) Which bridges will receive priority
works in 2026–27?
(2) As a result of (1), will there be any
changes to recently lowered, or planned to be lowered, load limits in the South
West and, if so, on what bridges?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Water Corporation has been working as
a matter of priority to identify options that may mitigate the requirement for
load posting bridges originally scheduled to occur in May 2026.
(2) These measures will be communicated
publicly when finalised.
