242. Hon Jess Beckerling to the minister representing
the Minister for Women:
I refer to the
government's 7 December 2025 launching of the state's Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Strategy
2025–2035 and the first action plan.
(1) How much funding has been committed to
date for the implementation of the first action plan?
(2) What parts of the action plan is that
funding for?
(3) What future funding is being
committed for the implementation of the first action plan?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Women.
(1)–(3) The first action plan reflects work
underway or in the early stages of implementation across government, aligning
with the principles, domains and intended outcomes in the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Strategy 2025–2035 .
It includes those with existing funding or commitments, including commissioning-related
actions. The first action plan also establishes critical governance and mapping
activities to set the foundation for the long-term strategy. Aligned with the
strategy, the 2025–26 Women's Grants for a Stronger Future program is committed
to funding $646,000 for initiatives. This includes a targeted safety and
justice grants stream for projects contributing to the primary prevention of
violence against women, with a focus on sexual violence.
