St John of God Midland Public Hospital300.Ms Libby Mettamto thePremier:I
have a supplementary question. When exactly will Midland
patients finally be able to walk through the doors of this redevelopment to receive
treatment and will the Premier raise this short-changing with the Prime
Minister? The Speaker:Member for Vasse, supplementaries areone
question. There is no "and" in the middle. The member asked two questions.
Premier.Mr Roger Cook replied:I
just answered the question in relation to the progress of that program.Several

should actually now, today, find this project at long last! Liberal members
said nothing about it during the state election. The federal Liberals promised
nothing towards the Midland hospital expansion in the federal election. They
did nothing. They do not care about this project.Several

Public Hospital is part of a once-in-a-generation expansion of our hospital
system right around this state. We are rebuilding the ED at Royal Perth
Hospital as part of that redevelopment and rebuilding the hospital in Mandurah.
We have even bought a hospital in the meantime. This comes on top of the
biggest regional health project in the state's history in Bunbury. This is on
top of rebuilding Geraldton hospital, Tom Price Hospital—Several

two questions, you do not get double the time to respond.Mr Roger Cook:I don't get double the time; that seems so unreasonable, Mr
Speaker!Our
hospital expansion program is huge, the biggest in the state's history. It is
great that the federal government is working in partnership with the WA Labor
