(1) Under the State’s coastal planning framework, the Shire of Gingin is the local coastal manager and is responsible for determining long-term coastal adaptation pathways.
(2) The local government’s draft Gingin Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plan (CHRMAP) proposes short-term soft protection works with a medium to long-term adaptation approach of managed retreat.
