I thank the Attorney General for the response he provided to my Question Without Notice 478, asked and answered on Wednesday 10 June 2026, and in reference to the Criminal Property Confiscation Act 2000 (WA), I ask:
(a) can the Attorney General please provide a breakdown of the allocations made from the Confiscation Proceeds Account at his or his predecessor's direction under each of the following headings for the past five financial years, with recipient organisations listed where appropriate:
(i) s131(2)(a) - for purposes associated with the Act;
(ii) s131(2)(b) - for the development and administration of programmes or activities designed to prevent or reduce drug-related criminal activity and the abuse of prohibited drugs;
(iii) s131(2)(c) - to provide support services and other assistance to victims of crime;
(iv) s131(2)(d) - to carry out operations authorised by the Commissioner of Police for the purpose of identifying or locating persons involved in the commission of a confiscation offence;
(v) s131(2)(e) - to carry out operations authorised by the Commissioner of Police or the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) for the purpose of identifying or locating confiscation property;
(vi) s131(2)(f) - to cover any cost of storing, seizing or managing frozen or confiscated property that are incurred by the Western Australia Police Force, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the CCC, or a person appointed under this Act to manage the property; and
(vii) s131(2)(g) - for any other purpose in aid of law enforcement; and
(b) for clarity, when s131(2)(e) refers to " The Commissioner of Police or the CCC," is that to be taken as reading "The Commissioner of Police or the (Commissioner of) CCC," and if not, which officers within the CCC have delegations that might apply under the Act?
