I refer to budget paper 2, vol. 1 page 369 that states "$37 million commitment to the Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence, supporting investment in clean energy initiatives" and I ask:
(a) Can the Minister provide a breakdown of the total capital and recurrent expenditure to date for the Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence, including Commonwealth, State and in-kind contributions;
(b) The line item for this $37 million commitment is specifically titled "Renewables Training Equipment." How is this related to the National Centre, is this just for hardware, where will this equipment be housed, and who will be trained on it;
(c) The Government is also spending $24.5 million on the Munster Campus Expansion specifically to deliver "future workforce skills for renewables industries," including wind, battery, and green hydrogen. How much duplication exists between the Munster expansion and the National Centre of Excellence and is the Munster expansion funded via the Commonwealth too:
(i) Why is the Government splitting its renewables training focus across two separate capital line items;
(d) How much funding has already been spent on consultants, branding, advisory services and project management;
(e) What is the projected cost per student trained under the Centre over the forward estimates, and how does that compare with existing TAFE delivery costs for equivalent qualifications;
(f) Given the Department of Training and Workforce Development's contract TWDQ05902026 Evaluation of the Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence:
(i) What is this evaluation aiming to produce, e.g. a report, review, or recommendations; and
(ii) What outcomes or recommendations are intended to be given to Government;
(g) How many new public sector or administrative positions have been created to support the Centre outside frontline training delivery;
(h) How many employers have formally committed to taking apprentices or graduates from the Centre to date; and
(i) Will the Government publicly release annual performance data reporting enrolments, completions, and employment outcomes?
