Question
I refer to question on notice 181, and community reports the Minister has now received a copy of the report and recommendations, and I ask:(a) what were the recommendations of the report;(b) has the Government accepted all of the recommendations;(c) if no to (b), why not;(d) which recommendations were accepted by the Western Australian (WA) Government;(e) which recommendations have been implemented by the WA Government;(f) which recommendations are outstanding for implementation and why;(g) will the Minister table a copy of the report; and(h) if no to (g), why not?
Answer
(a) – (h) The Review is internal to Government. It sought to assess the operation of the State Records Office in accordance with the functions set out in the State Records Act 2000 . The review identified opportunities for the State Records Office to work with other agencies to support compliance with the State Records Act 2000 and improve access to State archives. That work is underway.
