I refer to the crash towing reforms, and where a towing business has submitted a towing business authorisation application but is awaiting council approvals, inspections, building works or departmental determinations outside of the applicant’s direct control, and I ask:
(a) what safeguards, transitional arrangements or interim approval mechanisms will be available to protect operators from losing the ability to lawfully operate pending final determinations;
(b) what criteria will be applied in determining whether additional time, provisional approval or transitional arrangements will be granted; and
(c) how will the Government ensure such determinations are made consistently, transparently and fairly across all applicants?
