286. Hon Rod Caddies to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
I refer to Collie–Preston Road.
(1) Can the minister confirm she has
received requests to complete the upgrades to Collie–Preston Road as an urgent
priority?
(2) How many near misses and accidents
have happened on the stretch of Collie–Preston Road that has still not been
upgraded since the upgrades were started in 2018?
(3) Can the minister confirm that
completing the upgrades of the remaining dangerous stretch of Collie–Preston
Road is not a priority for the Cook Labor government in the next financial
year?

answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(3) There have been four recorded crashes in
the timeframe indicated. Main Roads WA expenditure for 2026–27 will be
finalised in the coming weeks.
