Homelessness—Safety Bay
244. Mr Basil Zempilas to
the Premier:
I have a
supplementary question.
Will the Premier
commit to meeting the pensioners and veterans living in their cars on Memorial
Drive?

AnswerView source ↗

I will commit to
making sure that we have services that can support these people in these
situations—making sure that they have the supports that they need, and,
ultimately, the most important thing, that they get a roof over their heads. I
might ask the Leader of the Opposition the same question: Did he meet with the
homeless women who he kicked out of the homeless women's shelter when he was
the Mayor of Perth?
Several members
interjected.
The Speaker: Members, please!
Visitors
The Speaker: Before I give the member for Bibra Lake
the call, on behalf of the member for Midland, I welcome the year 11
students and staff from La Salle College in the gallery today. Welcome.
