The 2026-27 Budget Papers show an estimated total cost of $41.4m is shown for
the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) Emergency Department expansion (page 311), with no funds shown beyond 2027-28. Can the Minister advise:
(a) What specifically does the expansion deliver;
(b) How many extra beds result from this expansion;
(c) Will any services and or activities currently undertaken at RPH be impacted by this expansion, if so which ones and how will they be undertaken during and after the expansion; and
(d) Has any modelling been undertaken to assess the impact of this expansion on ambulance ramping at the hospital, if so what is the likely impact?
