These regulations amend the Home Building Contracts Regulations 1992. They increase the prescribed amount of insurance for loss of deposit and the minimum amount of insurance cover for both builders and owner-builders, and update a website link.
Builders and owner-builders are affected by the increased insurance requirements. Consumers benefit from increased protection for lost deposits. The public benefits from an updated link to the Act.
