Work Health and Safety Act 2020

These regulations amend the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 to extend the required period of experience for statutory supervisors in mines from 3 years to 4 years.

Mining operators are affected as they will need to ensure that statutory supervisors have at least 4 years of experience. Individuals seeking to become statutory supervisors will need to work longer before qualifying.
