These regulations amend the Environmental Protection Regulations 1987 to prescribe classes of amendments to region and local planning schemes that are considered relevant schemes under section 48AAA(2) of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
Local and regional councils are affected by the changes to planning scheme amendment processes. Developers may be affected by changes to land zoning and development requirements. The Western Australian Planning Commission is also affected.
