The Magistrates Court Rules Amendment Rules 2025 amends the Magistrates Court (Civil Proceedings) Rules 2005 and the Magistrates Court (Minor Cases Procedure) Rules 2005. The amendments relate to the service of witness summonses.
Parties involved in civil proceedings in the Magistrates Court will be affected. They will now be required to serve a copy of the witness summons on each other party after serving the summons on the witness.
