These rules amend the Rules of the Supreme Court 1971 to incorporate provisions for representative proceedings under the Civil Procedure (Representative Proceedings) Act 2022 and to address litigation funding disclosure.
Legal practitioners and parties involved in representative proceedings in the Supreme Court will be affected. New procedures are introduced for consent to be a group member, opting out of proceedings, and disclosing litigation funding agreements. Case managers will have new powers to order disclosure of funding agreements.
