These regulations amend the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management (Scales of Fees) Regulations 1998 to update the fees payable to medical and allied health practitioners for services provided to injured workers. They also update the definition of MBS item number.
Medical practitioners, physiotherapists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and exercise physiologists will be affected by the changes to the fee schedules. Insurers and employers will pay the updated fees for workers' compensation claims.
