This proclamation commences sections of the Owner-Drivers (Contracts and Disputes) Amendment Act 2022, excluding sections 1, 2, 12, 17 and 18, bringing them into operation on 1 June 2023.

Owner-drivers and businesses engaging owner-drivers in Western Australia will be affected as the changes to contracting and dispute resolution processes come into effect. This impacts how contracts are formed and disputes are handled.
