These regulations declare the Joy Springs (Eight Mile) area a restricted area for alcohol consumption, possession, and transportation, under the Liquor Control Act 1988. They also amend the Liquor Control Regulations 1989.
Individuals and businesses, particularly liquor licensees and managers, are affected by the restrictions on alcohol in the designated area. The Director of Liquor Licensing must post notices about the restrictions. Police are granted powers to seize and dispose of liquor in the area.
