This order amends the Electricity Industry Exemption Order 2005 to provide an exemption from section 7(4) of the Electricity Industry Act 2004 for Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) entities selling electricity transported by the Pilbara Energy Connection to IB Operations Pty Ltd or another FMG entity.
FMG entities are exempt from certain requirements of the Electricity Industry Act 2004 regarding the sale of electricity transported by the Pilbara Energy Connection. This simplifies electricity sales between FMG entities and IB Operations Pty Ltd.
