This order amends the Health Services (Fees and Charges) Order 2016, updating fees and charges for various health services including in-patient, day patient, out-patient, and same-day patient services. It also specifies charges for compensable patients and revises accommodation fees.
Hospitals, patients (particularly private, ineligible, and compensable patients), and veterans are affected. Hospitals will need to adjust their billing systems to reflect the new fee structure. Patients may experience changes in the amount they are charged for health services.
