This proclamation commences the Government Trading Enterprises Act 2023, excluding Part 1, bringing it into operation on 1 July 2023. It was made by the Governor in Executive Council under section 2(b) of the Act.
Government trading enterprises in Western Australia are affected as the majority of the Government Trading Enterprises Act 2023 comes into effect. This means the provisions of the Act, other than Part 1, are now legally enforceable.
