Principal Act
These regulations amend the Spent Convictions Act 1988 to allow the Commissioner of Police to consider spent convictions when making firearms prohibition orders. This adds a new item to Schedule 3 of the Act.
The Commissioner of Police is now able to consider spent convictions when deciding whether to issue a firearms prohibition order. This may affect individuals who have spent convictions and are being considered for such an order.
