These regulations amend the Firearms Regulations 1974 to include 'diversification leases' alongside 'pastoral leases' in Schedule 3 clauses 11 and 12, relating to firearms use on these types of land.

Landholders with diversification leases are now subject to the same provisions as pastoral leaseholders regarding firearms use. This clarifies the application of firearms regulations to diversification leases.
