These regulations require fuel retailers to notify the Commissioner when they run out of a particular kind of motor fuel and when they restock, using the FuelWatch website or another method specified by the Minister. They also allow the Minister to exempt retailers from these requirements and authorize the use and disclosure of this information.
Fuel retailers are affected by the new notification requirements, which will require them to monitor their stock levels and report outages and restocks. The public may be affected by the disclosure of information on fuel availability.
