Principal Act
These regulations amend the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1999 and the Sentencing Regulations 1996. They prescribe kinds of sex or gender, update fees for certificates and searches, and remove a reference to the Gender Reassignment Act 2000 in the Sentencing Regulations.
Individuals applying for birth certificates or changes to registration information will be affected by the fee changes and the inclusion of 'non-binary' as a prescribed gender. Government departments and courts using sentencing regulations will be affected by the removal of the Gender Reassignment Act reference.
